Drunk Driver Arrested After Running Stop Sign – Name Released

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – A driver who failed to stop for a stop sign is facing charges after failing the Approved Screening Device (ASD) in Huron County.

On March 24, 2024, at 1:10 a.m., the Huron County OPP observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign on Duke Street in Huron East. While the officers were speaking to the driver, the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver provided a sample of breath into an ASD which registered a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the Huron County OPP Detachment for further tests by a Qualified Breath Technician.

David Miller, 31-years-old of Huron County was charged with:

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

· Disobey stop sign – fail to stop

· Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

· Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on April 22, 2024.
