Drug Bust Names Released

(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) One individual is facing multiple charges after a search warrant was executed on Walpole Island First Nation.
On March 5, 2025, just after 11:15 a.m., members of West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, and Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad, alongside Walpole Island Police Service and Lambton County OPP uniform members, took an individual into custody on outstanding warrants on Walpole Island First Nation.
Following further investigation and with the assistance of the Lambton County OPP Crime Unit and Lambton County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), a search warrant was executed at an address on Blackbird Lane, Walpole Island First Nation.
Police seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, firearms, and other offence-related items.
The combined estimated value of the seizure exceeds $31,800.
As a result, Ira WHITE, 58-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation, was additionally charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Possession of a schedule I substance Opioid
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
The accused was held pending a bail hearing and has since been remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on March 13, 2025.
