35 Year Old Facing Theft & Trespasing Charges

(KENORA, ON) The Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male following reports of suspicious activity and thefts from vehicles in the area.
On March 8, 2025, shortly after 10:30 p.m., Kenora OPP officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious male in the area ofSouth Park Drive in Kenora. The complainant reported observing a male attempting to access parked vehicles. CCTV footage of the incident was provided.
Officers patrolled the area and observed the interior lights of a pickup truck turning on. Upon arrival, officers located a male matching the suspect description removing items from the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Phillip KAKEKAGUMICK, 35-years-old of Sioux Lookout, Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
Trespassing at Night x2
Theft Under $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
