$40,000 Fraud Larry PEVATO Charged

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) A Bolton resident has been charged for fraud, following an investigation in Wellington North Township.
On June 21st, 2024, at approximately 7:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit received a report of fraud at a quarry business in Wellington North Township. The accused entered into an agreement with the business to excavate and sell materials from the property. In return, the business would receive royalties. However, throughout 2023 and 2024, it is alleged that several truckloads of material were unaccounted for, and the corresponding royalties were not received. The business has lost more than $40,000.
As a result of the investigation, Larry PEVATO, a 64-year-old from Bolton, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
Fraud over $5,000 (two counts)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Guelph on November 28, 2025.
